New York City
I have visited New York many times in the past, but after getting an email from Jacks Flight Club showing that Virgin Atlantic were offering flights return from London Heathrow to JFK in New York for £254, I couldn’t resist and so am heading back to The City That Never Sleeps for the first time in 4 years. Bring on the shopping!
I’ve booked four nights at Roommate Grace near Times Square. It’s a centrally located boutique hotel that should provide an excellent base for exploring the city.
I’m heading back to Amsterdam to celebrate Kings Day this April. As one of the biggest holidays of the year out in The Netherlands, it’s something I’ve wanted to see and join in with myself for a long time, and this year it’s finally happening!
Continuing with my love of Roommate hotels, I’ll be trying out Roommate Aitana for this stay in Amsterdam.
I love Spain and I love Spanish food, so it’s surprising to me that I’ve never made it to the capital of Spain. This is set to change August Bank Holiday weekend when I’ll be heading to Madrid for three days. I’ve been warned it gets exceptionally hot in August – good job I don’t mind the heat!
As you may have gathered now, I love escaping the British winter, and this years big November trip (also to coincide with my birthday) is going to be to Cambodia. We’ve planned an itinerary and chosen our hotels (listed and pictured below) and I’m genuinely shocked at the high levels of luxury you can get for incredibly low prices!
- The Tea House, Phnom Penh: 2 ngihts, deluxe double room with breakfast, £88
- The Khmer House, Siem Reap: 3 nights, deluxe double room with breakfast, £124
- The One Resort, Koh Rong Samloem: 4 nights, garden bungalow, £462
- Hotel Emion, Phnom Penh: 1 night with breakfast, £96
